ENGINEERINGNET.EU -- Hellemans (41) will succeed Theo Dilissen who recently left the company. He will also become a member of the Arcadis Leadership Council and its European Management Team.
Luc Hellemans joined the company in March 2000 and held several leadership positions including Project Director of the controversial Master Plan Antwerp project.
In December 2007, he became the Business Unit Director Infrastructure in Belgium, a position he held until late 2011. After a short period as COO with competitor Heijmans Van Den Berg he is now returning as the Managing Director of Arcadis in Belgium.
"We are pleased that Luc Hellemans has accepted the task of managing our Belgian business", said Executive Board member Friedrich Schneider, responsible for the European activities.
"We are convinced he will lead the company back to the path of high growth and margin performance."
